To be exact, Chef Wan had received hundreds of recognition from all around the world for his best cookings and performance each time he visits the places. He received awards not just in Malaysia, but also from the other countries as well.
To name a few..Chef Wan had received the Prominent Modern Malay Chef Award given by UITM, Pulau Pinang on 2007. He then also conferred Datukship by the Yang diPertuan Agong Malaysia on 2009. He also got appoint as the Food Ambassador of Malaysia by the Minister of Tourism of Malaysia, on behalf Malaysian Goverment on the next year. He was then had received the Tourism Ministry's Special Awards for promoting Malaysia abroad.

Well, that is little if you want to compare Chef Wan's achievements abroad. This 'makcik-makcik' -style-of-a guy was also being recognize by the foreigners. They valued his works and praises his performances. Among them were, being honored with Honorary Fellowship Award from Thames Valley, University of London, by School of Hospitality on 2007. He then also received 'The Best Jury Award' at the Le Mazille Prix World Gourmand Food & Media Awards, Beijing on the same year. And throughout the same ceremony on 2009, he received 'The Best Celebrity Chef in the World Award' in Paris.
Apart from that, Chef Wan international recognition has even captured the attention of the Tourism Authority and Royal Kingdom of Thailand which bestowed upon him with the 'Friends of Thailand Award' in 2010. Now..I don't know about you guys, but at this moment, I would be very proud to have him as our people. What an appreciation he got there. Pheww
Last but not least, Chef Wan also is one of the recipient for The Malaysia Book of Record and was chosen as the Best Editor's Choice Award for his best-selling cook book, which is The Best of Chef Wan Taste of Malaysia.
